5 Habits of Highly Successful People by  Felix A. Duyilemi

“Sucessful people do immediately what ordinary people do eventually”

~ Felix Duyilemi

In this article, I will share with you, 5 Habits of Highly Successful People. I know success means different things to the different people. To some it’s more money, to others it’s freedom to travel, write a book, or fulfill a divine destiny.

One common agreement about success is about accomplishing a worthy objective. Earl Nightingale defined success as a progressive realization of worthy objectives.

Whatever success means to you, I believe you are here to accomplish a purpose. And no matter your line of interest, there are people who have done what you are now trying to do.

These successful people have left a path that you can follow to achieve your own unique success.

In this article, I will share with you, 5 Habits of Highly Successful People.

Are you ready?

1. They Know Where They Are Going

Earl Nightingale wrote, in the Strangest Secret, “Those who have goals succeed, because they know where they are going.” Successful people know where they are going.

They have goals.

Goals serve like GPS that help successful people navigate their path through life.

Goals define tools, people, skills, and draw the opportunities they need to succeed.

On the other hand, unsuccessful people drift through life. They have no aim, no worthy objectives, no purpose or vision.

If you know where you are going, you have at least 90% of getting there, but if you don’t know where you are going, you have zero chance of getting there.

2. They Value Knowledge.

“A reader lives a thousand years before he dies…The man who never reads lives only one. ” George Martin.

Successful people value knowledge. They pay for information. Attend seminars. They do everything possible to stay on top of their games.

I once heard a billionaire talk, and said before he started his business in the UK, he spent 2 years to read! Average people don’t have time to read.

People like Bishop David Oyedepo, Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, Anthony Robbins place high premium on acquiring vital knowledge. Warren Buffett was quoted to read at least 5 hours every day.

3. They Have Mentors

“A mentor is someone who allows you to see the hope inside yourself ” Oprah Winfrey.

If you want to go far you need to learn from those who have gone farther. Mentors see beyond your fears and could help you see possibilities beyond your projection.

Jack Canfied wouldn’t have been able to write and develop, “Chicken Soup for the Soup Empire” without the support and assistance of Victor Hansen.

I agree with John C. Maxwell, “One of the greatest values of mentors is the ability to see ahead what others cannot see and to help them navigate a course to their destination”

Successful people are smart to look for people smarter than they are.

4 . They Maintain Balance

“What shall it profit a man to gain the whole world and loses his soul” Jesus Christ

Successful people maintain balance. You don’t want to pursue career success at the expense of your family, health and relationships. The goal of life is balance.

Successful people create priorities, order and harmony in their lives.

5. Help Others to Succeed

“You can get anything you want in life, if you help others to get what they want.” Zig Ziglar.

“We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give.” Winston Churchill.

If you want to be great, forget greatness and start serving people. Like Robert Kiyosaki said, “Change your FOCUS, from making money to serving more people. Serving more people make you more money. ”
