~Michael Altshuler.
2020 is here!
How time flies!
We can’t keep time from flying but we can use it to grow and become better.
One good thing about life is we have the power of choice. We can choose the direction of our lives.
A dear friend asked me recently what is my vision for the coming year.
I told him I wanted to be on International Televisions and start consulting for world leaders. Then he asked another probing question: what are your strategies?
I understand strategies are the vehicle of transformation. Hope is never a strategy. "I hope things get better" is a language of a loser.
In this article, I shared on 20 strategies to transform 2020. Are you ready?
1. Reinvent Yourself.
You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.
~Buckminster fuller.
When I let go of what I’m, I become what I might be. "
~Lao Tzu.
Your life is not cast on stone. You can practically transform your life.
You can learn new skills, change your line of business, and develop a different pleasing personality altogether.
One of my goals for 2020 is to write Novels. I know this is not the area of my strength, but I am willing to learn the tricks. By the way, my short story, "Incredible!" made it to Amazon Best-seller list In some categories. With the chance [Covid-19] has forced on the world, see-reinventing is the way go!
In 2020, announce to friends and colleagues that your latest version is available, and they need to upgrade if they still want you within their "Ecosystem."
2. Associate With Brighter People
Surround Yourself with people who are going to lift you higher.
~Oprah Winfrey.
One of the best experiences I had in 2019 was the meeting of smart, brave, purpose-driven, and highly intelligent people.
They helped me to become a better version of me.
If things will change, you need to hang around people who see farther than you can see and dream bigger than you dream.
Use technology to connect with influencers in your field. Winners hang around winners. Losers hang around losers.
3. Blow the cap off your capability.
No limits: blow the cap off your capacity.
~John C. Maxwell.
By the way, that is the title of John C. Maxwell’s newest book. Many people place a limit on their ability.
We set a mental limitation on our capacity. It’s like having a car with 5 gears, and you never use the 4th and the 5th gears.
Resolve to switch to the 5th gear of your ability in 2020.
Let go of your fears, dare the devil, press the envelope and do what you thought you could never do!
One of the things I teach in my Power Seminar®, is how to tell yourself EMPOWERING STORIES. Tell yourself what you can do not what you can’t do.
4. Challenge Yourself With Bigger Goals
Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into visible.
~Tony Robbins.
Don’t limit your Challenges, challenge your limits.
~Jerry Dunn.
The bigger your goals, the bigger you go.
You will grow to meet your goals.
Refuse to set goals that don’t tap into your true potentials. I want to write 20 books in 2020.
I want to be on International Televisions in 2020. I want to transform a million lives in 2020…
What goals do you have for 2020? Are they challenging enough?
Someone once said, "Big goals attract big people, and big people solve big problems, but small goals attract small people and small people create big problems."
Let your goals be BAGs! Big- Audacious-Goals.
5. Establish Balance.
Balance is not something you achieve "Someday".
~Nick Vujicic.
As you set goals for the 2020, create a balance within your goals.
Goals that focus exclusively on making money without taking into cognizance your health, family, friends, spiritual development etc. will leave your life out of balance.
Don’t be a man who spent all his time to make money for his family only to come home and found there was no more family!
Strike a balance between work and family.
At the end, the most important things in life don’t cost money.
6. Think creatively.
To raise new questions, New possibilities, to regard old problems from a new angle, requires creative imagination and marks real advance in science. Creativity is intelligence having fun.
~Albert Einstein.
It was Albert Einstein who said, "One of the definitions of insanity is to keep doing the same thing and expect a different result"
Successful people don’t necessarily do different things, they do things DIFFERENTLY.
Create new routes, challenge accepted norms, query what has worked in the past. Don’t wait until it breaks before you fix it.
In my Executive Business Retreat®, one of the concepts I teach is Lateral Thinking (the act of using the illogical tactics to accomplish incredible results).
You may want to send me a mail at [email protected] to know when the 2020 edition is coming up.
Creativity will help you outdo, outsmart and outperform yourself!
7. Eliminate Drama.
Just because some people are fueled by drama, don’t mean you have to attend the performance.
~Cheryl Richardson.
Save your energy only for what is important to your goals.
If you want to travel far, you need to travel light.
Reduce tension by maintaining a distance from people who derive their joy by making others sad.
If someone steps on your toes, don’t create a scene, just remove your toe from under his feet! In other words, don’t sweat small stuff!
8. Leverage on technology
It’s supposed to be automatic, but actually you have to push this button.
~John Brunner.
In my seminar, I talk about the fact that it’s not enough to know where you are going, it’s equally important to determine how fast you want to get there.
Technology will help you get there fast! You can reach millions of people by the tap of a finger now! Thanks to technology.
Even if you are not a tech savvy, you can outsource your ignorance to thousands of online freelancers available today.
9.Outsource Your Weaknesses
Master your strengths. Outsource Your Weaknesses.
~ Ryan Kahn.
One of the things successful people do is to focus on what they are good at.
Don’t dissipate your energy by working on your weaknesses.
Work on your strength. Focus on what you are very good at and outsource/delegate your weaknesses.
Instead of spending your time to bring your weaknesses from 5% to 15%, use that time to bring your strength from 75% to 90%.
Give your best to your best.
10. Invest In Yourself Daily.
"Income seldom exceeds personal development."
~ Jim Rohn.
Personal development is a major time- saver. The better you become, the less time it takes you to achieve your goals.
~Brian Tracy.
Warren buffet, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos and other billionaires today still take personal development very seriously. They read daily.
Invest in books, listen to Audio, subscribe to podcasts, attend seminars. Never go to bed without becoming a little better than you woke up.
If you want to increase your earning, increase your learning.
